The Glamp at the Wichita Mountains Lodge

Sara and I have stayed at our Glamp many times. We have worked hard to create an extraordinary guest experience.

You’ve heard about glamping, and you are ready to take the plunge! Or, you have glamped a lot, and this could be your next stay.

Our glamp aims to offer a “civilized” experience. Sleep in a real queen bed. Enjoy a 14,000 BTU air conditioner or heater. Stay in a spacious aero yurt with futon chairs, streaming television, a desk, and more.

The patio includes a hot tub, gas fire table, and solar lighting to provide a cozy romantic feel in the evening.

Our outdoor kitchen area includes a gas grill with a stove burner and griddles. A Cuisinart kitchen system provides running water. We provide pots, pans, plates, wine glasses, regular glasses, coffee cups, basic spices, salt and pepper, etc. You have outdoor games like Giant Jenga and cornhole.

Also, there is a large couple's wooden swing overlooking the creek.

The tent is protected from direct sun by a large sunsail and large trees.

You approach by turning onto Ketch Creek Place, where you will see a 37 Ketch Creek Place sign (lit at night), and turn onto the gravel drive. Lanterns hang on shepherds’ hooks in front of the privacy fence. You can drive past the gates and latch the gate closed behind you, leaving the neighborhood, civilization, and your busy life behind you.

As evening falls, the solar bistro lights will light up your patio, and twinkle lights will adorn the tent.

FOR THE FIRST TIME GLAMPERS, bugs, some leaves, dirt, and, if it rains, mud is part of the deal. We go to lengths to keep the creepie crawlies away, but at a glamp success is not 100%. If this is a problem, cancel now or don’t book.

FOR HARDENED, EXPERIENCED GLAMPERS, the glamp is on the edge of our neighborhood. You will drive past some homes before turning down the cul de sac, onto our gravel drive, and finally going through the privacy fence. If this is too on the grid for you, cancel now, or don’t book.
